A VALENTINES DINNER

On the week of Valentines, we met our good friends and old next door neighbors "the Orgills" for dinner at Pei Wei!
It was like we hadn't been away from each other at all! Just like old times. My kids just adore Cole...and my boys think he is their long lost Brother. They have missed him so much. I practically raised that kid right along with my own, and the Orgills raised mine too! They really were the best next door neighbors EVER!

Cole looks like he is just being tortured. Obviously my boys think he is hilarious!

The cutest part is that Cole (who is Hannah's age and has been her best friend since she was two) gave her a necklace for Valentines Day! They were so cute and embarrassed. I guess you could say they were "having a long distance relationship." It was short lived though, because they broke up already in order to preserve their friendship forever! Ha ha ha...aren't 12 year olds funny?
Anywho, it was sure good to see the Orgill's...we just love them to pieces!

Christmas "wrap-up" 2009

We had a wonderful holiday season, but now that it's over...I'm all pooped out! Here's a look back at some of the highlights!!!

The girls were in the "Polar Express" dance production at the high school

They were dolls, and waiters, and ballerina's...it was so cute. They will be doing this every year in our community. So it was a great tradition to start.

"Soup and Cookie" exchange party with friends!
We had a little gathering of friends...the Lybberts, Culleys and Erskines over for our traditional soup night. Before we moved out here, this was a great way to see our friends. Now that we live in the neighborhood it was just as much fun and the commute was super easy!

The boys...pretending to be uncle Eddy with his eggnog. It wasn't spiked...I swear!

This picture makes me laugh so hard because it looks like "Bishop Culley" is going to drop his baby because he is enjoying his eggnog soooo much. ha ha ha

Look at all these kiddos...lined up eating their delicious soup and rolls.

I love just hanging out with our friends...sometimes it just feels like family!

Each of us brought three dozen cookies. One to share for dessert that night, and a half dozen for each family to take home. They were so delicious. Jen came up with the idea instead of exchanging gifts....it was sooo fun.

"Thanksgiving Point" with Grandma Dorth, Aunt Di, Nicole, Kit and the Mackays
We met my Aunt Di, Grandma Dorth, cousin Nicole and Kitsune at Thanksgiving point a few days before Christmas to have a nice dinner and do our gift exchange.

I never get to see baby Kit...she is so adorable. I love her so much she is just a little cutie pie.

We had such a yummy dinner at the "Harvest" restaurant. And had a great time opening gifts. The boys were a little distracted by Santa's reindeer that were right outside the restaurant window.

The girls got spoiled by new "Juicy" outfits. They were elated!

Easton just kept telling Grandma, "tank you Gama." He just loved anything she gave him.

These were the reindeer. Very exciting indeed.

After dinner, we drove through the grounds and looked at all the lights. Santa even walked up to our car and surprised the kids. As we drove through, we sang Christmas carols and giggled. It was a really nice night.

As we drove out of the park, this was the last scene...how perfect!

"Christmas Eve" with the Mackays

Kim finally made her orange rolls correctly. They were a complete success. Way to go Aunt Kimmy!

We always have breakfast for dinner on Christmas Eve.

Austin really likes ketchup!

Brandon and his Mom.

Easton got a tool kit from Grandma and Grandpa Mackay. It was a really relaxed evening. And the kids were all so cute and excited to watch all of their cousins open their gifts.

"Twas the night before Christmas"
Brandon always reads this book on Christmas eve right before the kids go to bed.

"Christmas Morning"
Easton got his "batman" house with all the supplies. He also got a Caillou doll, clothes, and bath toys.

Chance got his Tony Hawk wii game, a remote control truck, a "Cowboys" jersey, bath toys, legos, and clothes.

Brandon got running and biking gear, and this cool brownie pan.

Addie finally got a camera. She loves taking pictures of herself. ha ha ha
She also got clothes, game of "life", shoes, scripture bag, and jewelry.

Hannah got an i-pod touch, a scripture bag, clothes, shoes, and makeup.

Grandpa Doo doo gave Chance a cowboy hat and a robber mask that he had asked for!

Uncle Char just sat and played legos with the boys...it was so cute.

Nana and Amanda sang crazy carols with the girls. It was some mixed up version of the 12 days of Christmas.

A few days after Christmas, Poppy and Dotty came out for a late celebration because they went to see my sister over the holiday.
We had spaghetti dinner and banana's foster.

The kids got new board shorts to use in Hawaii next time we go...hint hint!

Easton donned his Santa attire for the last time!
We had a very busy Christmas that came way too quickly. But it was spent with so many great friends and family. We are so fortunate to be so blessed with loved ones close by to enjoy the holidays with. It's always exhausting...but so fulfilling at the same time!
